Framework
Making Space 365 Framework for Social, Civic & Community Education and Engagement
The Making Space 365 Framework for Social, Civic & Community Education and Engagement is addressed to youth leaders, youth and community organisations and local stakeholders, and will offer a methodology for undertaking Cultural and Creative Arts Entrepreneurship Education for young people. The framework will consider the challenges in the field of social, civic and community education and engagement, and the needs of the youth target group. It aims to assist youth leaders and community educators to identify existing models of best practice for the development of cultural and creative arts and entrepreneurship skills of young people within the context of social and civic engagement; identifying assessment tools and offering training practices most appropriate for community settings. The framework will support and complement the existing knowledge and activities of youth and community organisations with added new approaches and measures for successful social, civic and community education. It will also be helpful in laying down new benchmarks for social and civic engagement in-line with international best practice.
Training Curriculum
Making Space 365 Creative Skills & Entrepreneurship Youth Training Curriculum
The Making Space 365 consortium will provide a compendium of modular, active and self-directed learning resources to support youth leaders and educators to develop the entrepreneurial and creative skills of young people in the communities where the partners are located. Partners will develop bespoke, embedded-learning resources that will be attractive and engaging, and that will support the target group to build skills that enhance lifelong learning, personal fulfillment, civic engagement and social cohesion. Partners will make these resources available in a youth educators toolkit, complete with accessories such as additional self-directed learning resources and guidance notes.
The programme will be developed as a suite of 12 modules – 6 entrepreneurship and 6 creative focused, with support materials and self-directed learning resources provided in accessible language and media-rich formats.
Event Guidebook
Making Space 365 Civic Action and Creative Youth Event Guidebook
An event Guidebook will contain a series of essential information, tips and recommendations that youth leaders and educators can follow in various programmes of their organizations and beyond, in order to successfully implement effect stages of creative and civic action based youth event planning:
- Event idea,
- Designing budget and securing funding,
- Project planning,
- Executing the plan,
- Marketing and promotion,
- Hosting events,
- Evaluation and follow up.
The Guidebook will also provide pedagogical support for youth leaders and workers, and innovative and creative inspiration for activities and exercises to ensure that this event planning process will lead to the development of transversal skills of young people.
Creative Calendar
Making Space 365 Creative Calendar
The Making Space 365 Creative Calendar is an engaging and useful development tool to establish and record creative and entrepreneurial skills, increase community engagement and promote social cohesion. As a resource, the calendar represents the Making Space 365 project aims to the wider community, sharing project messages and daily strategies for young people engaging with their community. The calendar serves to promote basic and intrinsic motivation in the sphere of community development for those that engage with the project development in the project lifetime.
